A growing number of colleges and universities have adopted test-optional or test-free admissions policies, while others argue that standardized tests provide essential data for fair evaluation. Write an essay that argues your position on the role of standardized testing in education. Use appropriate evidence — including facts, examples, and reasoning — to develop your argument. Consider the complexity of the issue by acknowledging and responding to counterarguments.
